First of all, introductions are in order. This site and our products would be nowhere without the feline inspiration from our four legged children (clockwise from top left) Sidney, Sam, Scout and of course last but surely not least, Suki. Sukiblue is in business today at Suki's behest. She had to be assured that there is sufficient "crunchie" money to fund her snacking habits. She is partial to Meow Mix, Fancy Feast Appetizers and Sheba...

We adopted Suki and her littermate sister, Scout in 2015 after losing our previous generation of 3 cats in two years' time. They were 16, 17 and 19 in age and out hearts were broken when we had to let them go. Suki and Scout were picked up alone and sweltering in a Florida parking lot by a kind foster soul. She socialized their pictures shortly thereafter. I came across them and requested that she "put them on hold" for my husband and I to adopt. Suki's ascent to royalty began.

A few years later, my husband left on a men's hunting trip and playfully suggested that I visit the local cat rescue to "play" with the kittens. He said, "Maybe you'll surprise me!". Sisters Sidney and Sam were just inside the front door, like a pack of chiclets at the grocery checkout that you just can't live without. Wham, bam, come on home Sid and Sam! We are now a party of six.

 

The jewelry began in support of that very rescue from which my chiclets came. I wanted to help generate some financial support for them and made some cat related bracelets for them to sell. I enjoyed making them so much that I began expanding my assortment and Sukiblue came into being.

 

I do have a bit of a humorous, sarcastic side to my personality and after a year, I added home décor signs to our quiver.  Laughter and humor seem to always ease the worry of the day. And these days, boy do we all need that. So that's about it. We are a happy little company that handmakes product we are proud to put our signature on.
